Frequently Asked Questions

What are the financial and operational requirements for a company to qualify for a CSE listing?

The CSE reduces the cost and complexity of going public with unparalleled service and straightforward requirements, exceeding TSX listing requirements and TSXV listing requirements when it comes to clarity and simplicity. We have three major qualifying requirements: be a reporting issuer; meet minimum standards; and comply with specific capital structure restrictions, our Listing Agreement, and all CSE rules and policies. Sector-specific requirements may apply.

What are the costs associated with listing on the CSE?

Our goal is to reduce the cost of capital for public issuers, providing innovative businesses with an alternative way to access the public capital markets. Costs include an application fee, an initial listing fee, and a monthly maintenance fee, calculated based on daily average market capitalization. Our costs are competitive against TSXV and TSX fees and structured to be accessible for emerging companies, with specific fees depending on company size and sector.

How does the CSE's operating model and fee structure benefit companies in terms of time and cost efficiency, cost certainty, and value?

The CSE's operating model supports time and cost efficiency by focusing on key risks to protect the public interest, offering an efficient regulatory regime paired with a transparent fee structure and a fixed-fee model, which combines value with cost certainty, freeing issuers from unnecessary review fees and levies. Best-in-class over TSX fees and TSXV fees, our model helps issuers of all sectors and sizes minimize their cost of capital, enhance global liquidity, and invest more time into their business.

For companies already listed on another Canadian exchange, what process does the CSE offer for switching listings?

The CSE offers a streamlined, three-step process for switching listings, and recent policy revisions have made moving your listing(s) to the CSE even easier. Switching can now be completed through referencing 44-101 and/or 51-102 disclosure to avoid the review process typically associated with a new listing.
